NATURAL GAS EXPLORATION SEMINAR

This informational session will focus on leasing and surface impacts associated with gas exploration in the Marcellus shale formation.

Lindsay Wickham, Field Advisor with the New York Farm Bureau will be on hand discussing various aspects of the leasing process including: leasing terminology, leasing components, the landman, coalitions, compulsory integration and more. Also on the agenda is Brett Chedzoy, a forester with the Cornell Cooperative Extension’s South Central NY Ag Team and a farmer in Schuyler County, who will share his insights on minimizing surface impacts from natural gas development activities on farm and forest land.

Interested landowners, neighbors, and local representatives are urged to attend. Registration is not required prior to the event.
